Organic Directory description
Biocontrol insecticide and miticide based on paraffin oil. It is used against mites and phytoptes as well as scale insects on citrus, cherry, peach, apple and plum trees. Paraffin oil is a white mineral oil derived from petroleum, with a mechanical mode of action. It acts by contact. Pest larvae and eggs are covered with an oily film, suffocating them right down to the bark.
