Information

Nezara viridula is a plant-eating bug, which is now recognised as a major pest in vegetable crops. Trials conducted in the past 5 years by Koppert and its partners (IMPULSE project, POLCKA project, growers) all point to the same patterns: weekly releases of Trissolcus basalis, with the earliest possible start, can prevent the spread of Nezara viridula and contain populations. Find out more about NEZAPAR, a solution based on a beneficial hymenoptera Trissolcus basalis that can parasitise the eggs of the Nezara viridula southern green shield bug.
